The Shenandoah IACUC meets regularly to approve animal use protocols, deal with issues that may arise from animal use, and perform routine inspections of animal facilities.
Our goal is to insure that animal research is being conducted safely and humanely.
Submitting a Proposal
Shenandoah University faculty and students conducting research involving vertebrate animals must obtain IACUC approval prior to collecting data. While students can help work on a proposal, all proposals must have a faculty sponsor.
IACUC Deadlines
Proposals for the next review cycle are due by January 18, 2020.
IACUC Proposal Form
Please contact Brian Lipscomb at blipscom@jdzruiran.com for a form. The committee is seeking feedback on the form and this allows to see who has at least considered filling out a form.
