Individualized Courses
The Office of Education Outreach (OEO) is able to offer individualized courses for districts that meet specific needs the district may have. School divisions may contract with OEO to arrange sponsored sections. Divisions can request specific courses, enroll students, and provide us with a list of enrolled students and our business office will bill districts directly. Tuition rates vary based on a variety of factors which we are happy to discuss with you.

Teachers for Tomorrow Dual Credit
The availability of teachers in critical shortage areas and hard-to-staff schools continues to be a major challenge to the nation and in Virginia. Literature in this area suggests that while two million teachers may be needed nationally over the next 10 years, traditional teacher preparation programs have only one million prospective teachers in the pipeline.
In Virginia, it is strongly felt that “grow your own” and high school programs capturing the interests of potential teachers may be one strategy toward resolving this challenge. As such, Virginia’s Teachers for Tomorrow Program is offered to high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in education. The program is designed to attract teacher candidates from high school students to the field of education through exposure to a world-class curriculum and hands-on experiences that focus on teaching.
Shenandoah University currently has a partnership with 50 schools to offer college credit for students enrolled in a Teachers for Tomorrow program. If your school currently offers a Teachers for Tomorrow program and would like to offer dual-credit, or would like to begin a program, please contact us.
